23.02.2023

Design of the new INTECH office complex

A new large factory with over 22,000 square meters of production and warehouse space for reusable systems and sustainable pallets is being built at the Hannover-West motorway junction (A2/A352). Intech Worldwide GmbH has been successfully producing in Hanover-Marienwerder since 2008, but due to the company's above-average expansion, the old factory has simply become too small. In Hanover-Stöcken, the plastics processor Intech was able to buy a commercial area of 30,500 square meters and start construction in 2022.

The new factory is now scheduled to start in 2023. For the managing director and owner Mr. Vedat Pehlivan, the choice of location was an heart project, because he is deeply rooted in the Hanover region. The 21 injection molding machines of Intech Worldwide GmbH are also moving. A feat of strength when you consider that the largest machines weight over 180 tons.

All-round sustainable with the new factory

"Reusable instead of disposable" is the company's motto. The reusable packaging produced is durable, can be reused for many years and and will be 100 % recycled at the end of their life-circles. Disposable packaging, such as cardboard boxes or foils, are replaced in a climate-friendly manner and the CO2 balance is sustainable improved. In the new factory, the waste heat from the injection molding machines is used to heat the building and generate hot water. A new photovoltaic system with a power of 1,500 kWp (kilowatt peak) produces green electricity. In this way, solar energy is used to to produce reusable packaging, which is climate-friendly and the way to an ecological future.

Green plastic thanks to consistent circular economy

With the sustainability program "Intech Green", the company commit to using high-quality recycling materials made from 100 % PCR plastics. Post-consumer recycled materials (PCR) are plastics re-processed from household or commercial waste, the majority of which come from packaging. Intech processes over 11,000 tons of these materials each year (2022), giving these valuable raw materials a new life – fully in line with the concept of the circular economy.

Hidden Champion

The Intech company was once again awarded the "CrefoZert" creditworthiness certificate by Creditreform: "This means that Intech is one of the companies with the best creditworthiness in the Hanover region and is one of the top 2 % of all companies nationwide. [...] The company from the north of Hanover can be called 'hidden champion' in the field of reusable transport packaging."
